Seeing Eye to Eye
As writers we are told to keep our writing taut and our words brief. Don't use ten words when one more powerful word will do. Well today this post is going to be brief out of necessity. At the moment I am struggling to read or write. Although I can write, often it is not coherent. This is because I can't see properly. On Thursday I am having laser treatment on my eye and this will get rid of the fog through which I currently view the world. Despite this I did not want to completely ignore the fact that it is my turn to write the monthly blog. However, sometimes we need to admit we are struggling and that everything will not go the way we planned. This is one such time for me.
Fortunately we do not need eyes to see God. We can close our eyes and feel closer to him than we do with them open. It is at times like these that God is standing right here with us, and he gives us permission to ease up and be less than perfect. He loves us just the same.
So I hope you will forgive me for the lack of a proper post this month. Normal service will be resumed next month.
I pray your surgery will go without a hitch Wendy. Then you'll be able to see that you've been wearing the wrong shade of lipstick for the last month ;)
ReplyDeleteBlimey, I never thought I would have to worry about lipstick as well. Thank you
DeleteGoodness me, we really are under enemy attack. I'm so sorry to hear this Wendy. But praise God for the wonderful treatments available today. Haven't forgotten it's my turn tomorrow. I will be there. Promise.

ReplyDeletePraying for your eyes. I'm praying that you will know God's presence with you at this difficult time. I love the timely reminder that God is always with us and that we do not need eyes to see him. We can just close our eyes and know that He is here and so very close to us.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you Wendy, less is more on this occasion I think!
