God's Unseen Blueprint by Peculiar Medinus
In the tapestry of life, there are
threads we never anticipate weaving, yet they become integral to our story.
Much like a master weaver, God sees the complete picture when all we can
glimpse is a strand. Thirteen years ago, I experienced a profound hunger for
divine wisdom that I didn’t fully understand at the time. It was in the month
of March, and this yearning led me to scripture and meditation. During these
moments of quiet reflection, I began jotting down my thoughts in a notebook—a
simple act that seemed insignificant then but would later unfold into something
greater than I imagined. This blog is about how those early reflections evolved
into my book, "Compass," and serves as a testament to the belief that
God always has a plan.
The journey began quite unexpectedly. My
path towards writing "Compass" was not charted nor foreseen. The
stirring within me during those meditative sessions was undeniable yet
puzzling; it drove me to engage more deeply with Biblical texts and capture my
insights on paper. At the time, it felt like nothing more than personal
musings—an exercise in understanding myself better through the lens of faith.
However, what seemed like random scribbles were seeds planted for future
harvests.
Years passed by swiftly until one day
while rummaging through old belongings, fate reunited me with that forgotten
notebook. Flipping through its pages filled with handwritten notes, I realised
that these reflections carried timeless truths and personal revelations worth
sharing beyond myself. The words written years ago resonated freshly and
powerfully—as if guided by a hand beyond my own from the very beginning.
Emboldened by this rediscovery, I
embarked on transforming those scattered entries into something
cohesive—something others could derive meaning from too—a book named
"Compass." It wasn't simply about retelling scriptural narratives;
instead, it became an exploration into how God's word intersects with everyday
life challenges and decisions we face today. Writing "Compass" taught
me invaluable lessons about faithfulness and trust in divine timing. For fellow
bloggers and creatives considering new, undefined endeavours—trust in your
instincts and believe in the potential of your vision.
Congratulations on your publication, Peculiar. God often leads in ways we don't expect. I am just listening to the book, Knife by Salman Rushdie, very interesting. He didn't expect to write this book as he didn't anticipate being stabbed by an extremist. People also find themselves writing books out of illness too, like Kate Nicholas' To the Ocean Floor, about her experience suffering with cancer. I wish you every success with your new book.
