Have Yourself a Literary Christmas by Wendy H. Jones

As it's December I am definitely allowed to talk about Christmas this month. We all know the real meaning of Christmas, celebrating the birth of Christ, but, let's face it, Christmas is also about spending time with loved ones and for buying and unwrapping presents. I love receiving books for Christmas and I also love receiving journals. I equally enjoy giving them as presents. So, I thought I would not only talk about books in this blog but about literary gifts in general. These are just a selection of books, journals and gifts that caught my eye. Whilst I have read some of them, I haven't read them all. I just think they would make great gifts. The prices vary but I've tried to keep things under £15 as I know times are hard at present (definitely no pun intended). Some of them are from ACW authors, others are just random books I like the look of.

I Am A Queen - by Amanda Bedzrah
The Healing Journal - by Joy Margetts

Notebooks

Hamlet Notebook by the Literary Gift Company

Notes Notebook by Notes of London

 Jane Austen Heat Transfiguration Mug

These are literally just ideas from the top of my head. I have no skin in the game and receive nothing if you buy any of them, apart from the deadly traditions book of course where I and all the other authors share the royalties. I merely thought it would be fun to see what literary gifts were available. Now, what I would like  you to do is join in and post your recommendations in the comments below. These can be your own or others books. Then, we can all have fun choosing from them and supporting authors and reading fro Christmas.

Have a fabulous Christmas when it comes and I hope all your presents are literary.

  1. Lovely post, Wendy! Tx , it's great to talk about literary gifts. I too don't mind receiving books, note pads, stationery, 2023 calendars and best of all surprise reviews from some unknown fans or people on any of my published books, for Christmas! For literary gifts, I would suggest: [1] 'I am adopted' by Fiona Miles and ' 'Their Journey on Earth to Heaven' by Olusola Sophia Anyanwu. Blessings.

  2. Thank you for this Wendy. I must look up 'Deadly Traditions'. I have bought the first two Isabella books for some family members as Christmas gifts because I know their reading tastes and I think they would love this book. I have another family member who loves history and historical fiction but I'm always nervous I might choose something she's read previously! Having said that, I have in the past chosen books which are new to her. I still need to be inspired as to the right book - I will probably drop in to one of my two indie local bookshops where I know I will find just the right volume.

  5. So many good ideas! The list of recommended books would be never-ending, I fear! ACW members have had such a blessed year, I feel, so many great books have been released or are about to be... Thank you for starting us off though!
