Breaking News for September

This September, C.F. Dunn celebrates the release of Fearful Symmetry - the fifth and final book in The Secret Of The Journal series published by Lion Fiction.

‘Caught in the lights like a rabbit, Rosie hesitated. "Run, Rosie, run!" I cried, gasping for breath, and she spun around and dashed towards the steps. From the perimeter fence behind us, strong, thin beams of light jerked wildly in the gloaming as black-coated figures climbed over and advanced at a steady run, spreading out like spiders on a web.’

In the final book in The Secret Of The Journal series, how can Emma and Matthew escape when the past is only one step behind them and the enemy unknown? When history catches up and past and present collide, where is there left to hide but the future?

Fran Hill is reading at Birmingham's Waterstones on Sunday 9 October to help launch What Haunts the Heart, an anthology of short stories about 'obsession, regrets and fractured souls' published by Mantle Lane Press. Her story A Clean Slate appears in the anthology. The launch at Waterstones, from 2-3pm, forms part of the Birmingham Literature Festival, running from 6-16 October.

Wendy H. Jones released Her book The Dagger's Curse,  published by Books to Treasure, on 10th September in Waterstones, Dundee. This is the first book in The Fergus and Flora Mysteries.

An ancient Egyptian dagger. A hungry curse. A city under siege.

In the dead of night the ancient dagger is stolen from the museum in Dundee. As mysterious accidents, illness and even death stalk the city, the Detective Duo, Fergus Bernstein and Flora MacDonald, follow clues that lead them into ever increasing danger. Can they find the dagger and break the curse before it’s too late?

My second tip for selling more books is to make sure your books are the best they can be. If you're a crime writer then this course will tick every box to help you write and sell your books. No matter what genre you write in it is worth coming along for the blogging and promotion days.
