A New Year, a New Page by Wendy H. Jones

 

Every year I have the honour of posting the first blog of the year. I love doing this but it can be slightly nerve wracking - what can I say that is fresh and new. Here we stand with a fresh new year stretching before us a blank canvas, or new page if you like, on which we write the story of our lives.  We always approach the new year with so much excitement and anticipation, at least I do anyway. It’s such a hopeful time of year. Others of you may share my excitement. Some of you may approach it with dread wondering what life will throw at you this year. Both of these are valid. I don’t have any sage advise here. What I do have is hope  and the knowledge that we can all take one day at a time. Every single day of this year is a new beginning. Every day is a chance for us to move our writing and our author career forward. Every day is a new opportunity and a new blessing. So, as we stand at the entrance to a new year, I would encourage you to take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way. Let your imagination take flight and enjoy every single literary filled day of 2023. May your literary dreams come true.
