She lives with her 93-year-old sister. I always take a hot, home-cooked meal and they always have the table set daintily for us. Those times round the table with them are precious. I never know when I leave to drive the 70 miles home whether I will ever see them again. Carpe Diem, indeed.Fran Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13497526684591168192noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1643092331729126387.post-56390497369087903242016-10-20T22:30:41.799+01:002016-10-20T22:30:41.799+01:00I feel sure you are both brave and funny now, Debo...I feel sure you are both brave and funny now, Deborah. Better start practising courage and humour now. For when I'm older 😄 Thanks Sue. It struck me a couple of years ago that old age is a time of multiple bereavement - in one year recently they lost 12 close friends and family. Though the regular 100-mile round drive to see them takes up a lot of time and sometimes add to my stress levels, I know that when they are no longer with us I will never regret this time that I've been able to spend with them in their closing years.rosbayeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12682832936395894834noreply@blogger.com
